Collapsed Dorsal Fins in Male Captive Whales

There is a lot of speculation as to why male captive whales have collapsed dorsal fins.  No matter what the real reason, it seems like a direct physical portrayal symbolizing why captivity is wrong.  It occurs in all male captive whales, yet it the wild this phenomenon is quite rare.
